The beach, coffee shops and a well stocked local shop and garage are all in easy walking distance of here and the bus to Cork city delivers you right to the gate!

Nearby attractions include the world famous Ballymaloe House and Cookery School, Castlemartyr 5 star resort and spa, Ballycotton with its pubs, lighthouse boat tours and famously scenic cliff walk, numerous beaches with protected wildlife sanctuaries, Midleton with its gastronomic delights, Jameson Distillery, Fota Wildlife Park , Knockadoon cliff walk and Youghal’s incredible stretch of golden sands and medieval historical walks – so much to see and do! So whether it’s beach-walking, golfing, swimming, kite surfing, animal watching, or coffee guzzling – there’ll always be something to do no matter the weather! And if you’re really lucky you’ll be with us during one of the local beach cleans –
– and you can be an eco warrior for a hour or two! We’ll even loan you a high viz bib!
And of course Cork city is within 40 minutes by car or taxi if you fancy some shopping or just the contrast of the city buzz.
Getting around
We’re in a rural location so we advise that you don’t rely too heavily on public transport. That said, there is a bus that services Cork and Ballycotton and it has a stop at the entrance to your driveway – super handy! There are also local cab drivers of course if you decide you want a break from driving and just relax in one of the many restaurants that are within short driving distance (nearest is Ballymaloe – 5 mins, Castlemartyr 10mins, Midleton 15-20 mins and Cork 35 – 40 mins). We have bikes on site if you want to borrow them but if you want to bring your own we have space to store them securely during your stay
